User Terminal technologies

OneWeb has partnered with recognized leaders in aircraft modification and technology to develop a new, dedicated class of cost-effective in-flight User Terminals that is significantly lighter and smaller than existing aviation antennas, and suitable for all aircraft types, with both dedicated LEO operations and hybrid LEO/GEO connectivity capabilities. Each terminal is provisioned for resilient, secure, two-way communications at speed and on the move. The system’s design will help ensure ease of maintainability, with four simple Line Replacement Units (LRUs), any of which can be replaced in less than 30 minutes.
